The Script Sydney 2027: the confirmed details

Support: Picture This. On sale since Friday 29 May 2026.

The Script is confirmed for Saturday 27 March 2027 at Afterpay Arena. It is one of the Concert dates on Sydney’s verified 2027 calendar. The tour behind it is Man In The Arena Tour, and the Sydney dates we have verified so far are: Saturday 27 March 2027.

This page covers the Sydney leg only. It brings together the venue, how the on-sale has been organised, what tickets are likely to cost and how to get there and home again. We are an independent guide rather than a ticket seller, so whenever there is something to buy, the purchase happens with the official seller named in the announcement.

Details can still move after a show is confirmed. Extra dates get added when the first night sells through, support acts are named late, and occasionally a show changes room to match demand. When any of that happens for The Script Sydney 2027, subscribers to the alert get one short email saying what changed. If tickets have sold out, the same alert flags official resale and any seats released from production holds, which sometimes reappear in the days before the show once the stage layout is final. Any change to the start time or entry arrangements set by Afterpay Arena goes into the same email.

The venue for The Script Sydney 2027: Afterpay Arena

The Script is booked into Afterpay Arena, one of the rooms that shape Sydney’s Concert calendar. Sydney’s venues sit in distinct precincts, and knowing which one you are heading to tells you a lot about the night ahead.

Sydney Olympic Park at Homebush Bay is the big-event precinct: Afterpay Arena and Accor Stadium share open plazas with food outlets, and Olympic Park station is a short walk away. Moore Park, between Surry Hills and Centennial Park, holds the Hordern Pavilion beside the Entertainment Quarter. The CBD has the State Theatre, a 1929 picture palace with an ornate interior, and the Metro Theatre on George Street. Darling Harbour has the TikTok Entertainment Centre, and in Eveleigh the old railway workshops of Carriageworks have become a venue in their own right, while the Inner West keeps the Enmore Theatre.

Each gives a different experience. Arenas bring large production and long sightlines; theatres put you closer, with better sound; open-air sites such as the Opera House Forecourt and The Domain trade a roof for the harbour or parkland around them. Wherever Afterpay Arena sits on that spectrum, the Sydney venues guide has its entry times, transport and accessibility notes.

Presale and on-sale for The Script Sydney 2027

Most Sydney concerts now use mobile tickets held in the seller’s app, which matters for two reasons. Screenshots usually will not scan at the gate, so you need the app on the night. And transfers to friends happen inside the app rather than by forwarding a PDF; some events only switch on transfers close to the date.

On sale day, the waiting room opens shortly before the advertised time. Join from one device on a stable connection, stay signed in and do not refresh once you are queued. Where a show has several Sydney dates (Saturday 27 March 2027), the later nights sometimes have more availability once the first one goes, so check each.

Presale codes, where they exist, are handed out by whoever runs that presale: artist mailing lists, promoter memberships, banks or telcos. We do not sell codes, and anyone who does deserves suspicion. What we do is tell subscribers which presales have been announced for The Script Sydney 2027, when they open and how to get access.

The general sale is the last scheduled release. After that, extra tickets come from production holds or official resale. Those drops are rarely announced in advance, which is why the alert is the simplest way to catch them.

The Script Sydney 2027 ticket prices and seating

Official pricing for The Script Sydney 2027 is set by the promoter and shown on the seller’s event page. As a guide, comparable Concert shows at Sydney venues of this type have sold in these bands: entry-level seats from around A$99 to A$139; mid-level reserved seats and general admission around A$139–A$189; prime seating near the stage around A$189–A$239; and premium or VIP packages from A$239 to A$299 and beyond.

Seating plans vary by venue. In an arena the floor may be all standing or split into seated blocks, with tiered seating wrapping around the sides and back. In a theatre, the stalls are closest, then the circle and upper levels. Outdoors, most tickets are general admission, sometimes with a premium zone near the front.

Fees are added at checkout: expect a service fee on each ticket and possibly a transaction fee per order, while mobile delivery is usually free. Prices can also shift during the sale if the tour uses dynamic pricing.

If the price level you wanted has gone, do not assume you are out of luck. Different sections are released at different times, and our alert tells you when new allocations appear for Afterpay Arena.

Getting to Afterpay Arena for The Script Sydney

Sydney’s network is built around the CBD, so for most venues the simplest plan is to reach Central, Town Hall or Circular Quay first and change there. Opal readers accept contactless cards and phones, so you need not buy anything before travelling, and a daily fare cap limits the cost if you make several trips.

The arena sits a short walk from Olympic Park station, the terminus of a spur line off the main western line at Lidcombe. On ordinary nights you change at Lidcombe for the Olympic Park shuttle; on big event nights extra trains often run directly from Central, so check the Transport for NSW trip planner on the day. Allow roughly 35–45 minutes from the CBD. Some event tickets in the precinct include public transport travel, so read the fine print on yours. Driving is possible, with paid car parks across Sydney Olympic Park, but the exit queues after a sell-out can be long and pre-booking is wise.

For Olympic Park shows, trains run between Lidcombe and Olympic Park station, a few minutes on foot from both the arena and the stadium; on major event nights extra services are scheduled and staff manage the platform queues. For Moore Park, light rail lines L2 and L3 stop at Moore Park on Anzac Parade. The Enmore Theatre is a walk along King Street and Enmore Road from Newtown station, and the Darling Harbour venues are reachable on foot from Town Hall or on the L1 light rail.

Leaving takes longer than arriving. Allow time after the encore for the crowd to thin, and check the last services before you head out. If you are driving, read the venue’s parking information in advance; many people find it quicker to park near a suburban station and take the train the rest of the way.

Before you go: The Script Sydney checklist

Yes. The show is officially scheduled for Saturday 27 March 2027 at Afterpay Arena, Sydney, and we have checked it against the official listing. A Sydney rock night still carries the pub-rock lineage of AC/DC and Midnight Oil: loud guitars, a packed floor and a crowd that shouts every chorus back.

  • Ticket: in the official app rather than a screenshot, with any transfers done before the day.
  • Entry: a small bag only, ID for the bar, and a charged phone.
  • Travel: route and last service checked, Opal or contactless card ready.
  • Timing: doors and set times confirmed on the day, as they are often published only a day or two before.
  • Weather: a light layer for summer storms, a jacket for the cooler months.

The Man In The Arena Tour dates in Sydney are Saturday 27 March 2027. If you missed the night you wanted, keep an eye on official resale and late releases rather than third-party marketplaces, and set the alert so you hear about them first. Tickets bought from unofficial sellers can be cancelled by the event organiser, and the original seller will not help if the barcode fails at the gate.

That history is the background to The Script’s 2027 return to Sydney. Set the alert to get presale and on-sale times as they are confirmed.

Presale code The Script Sydney: how it works in Australia

A presale code is simply a key to an early ticket window. For The Script in Sydney there is no single code that unlocks everything: each presale is run by a different organisation, and each decides who gets in. Some send a code by email on the morning the presale opens, some ask you to log in with a registered account, and some check the first digits of your card at checkout. Our alert brings together the presales announced for the Sydney date at Afterpay Arena and tells you which ones apply to you.

The Script fan-club presale in Sydney

This is usually the first window. Fans signed up to the artist’s mailing list or paid fan club receive a link or code shortly before it opens. For The Script, any fan presale for Sydney would be announced alongside the tour itself. These allocations can be small and are often limited to a few tickets per account, so being registered before the announcement is what counts. If membership costs money, weigh that against the price of a better seat before joining just for the presale.

Promoter presales for The Script tickets in Sydney

Australian tours are presented by a small group of promoters, and most offer free membership with presale access. The best known are My Live Nation, the Frontier Touring membership and Chugg Entertainment’s list, and TEG runs presales for its own tours. The relevant list is the one belonging to whichever company presents The Script in Sydney. These windows usually open after the artist presale and before the general sale, often with a larger allocation, which makes joining the right list worthwhile well before 2027.

Amex and Mastercard presales for The Script Sydney

Card issuers buy presale access as a perk for their customers. American Express card members in Australia regularly get early windows for major tours, and Mastercard runs presales through its Priceless programme. Eligibility is checked at checkout from the card number, so you must pay with a qualifying card. If you hold one, make sure it is saved and valid in your Ticketek or Ticketmaster account before the The Script sale for Afterpay Arena. Card presales do not always include every price level.

Telco presales for The Script: Telstra Plus and Optus Perks

Telstra’s loyalty scheme, Telstra Plus, and the Optus Perks programme also unlock early access for selected tours and venues. These programmes generally ask you to log in with the account linked to your mobile or internet service, and some tie access to a membership tier. A telco tie-in is far from guaranteed, and the brand involved varies by tour, so check the official announcement for The Script at Afterpay Arena. Our alert notes when a telco presale is listed for the Sydney date.

The Script queues on Ticketek and Ticketmaster

Whichever presale you use, the purchase normally goes through Ticketek or Ticketmaster, and both use online waiting rooms for big releases. Join just before the opening time from one device, stay on the page and keep your code to hand; refreshing will not improve your position. If most of the Sydney allocation for The Script goes in presale, the general sale may be small, so in 2027 the presales are where most fans will realistically get their tickets.
