The Fray Sydney 2027 is on: date, venue and tour

The Fray is confirmed for Thursday 11 February 2027 at Hordern Pavilion. It is one of the Concert dates on Sydney’s verified 2027 calendar.

Support: Dashboard Confessional and Rachael Fahim. On sale since Thursday 10 September 2026. These are The Fray’s own headline dates; the band also plays the Lookout festival series.

Sydney dates on the Summer of Light Tour run: Thursday 11 February 2027. If more than one night is listed, check carefully which one you are buying for. Sellers list each date as a separate event, and tickets cannot be swapped between nights unless the seller says otherwise.

Confirmed shows run to a different rhythm from rumoured ones. Once a date is official, the questions move from “will it happen” to “which section”, “how much” and “how do I get home”, and that is what the rest of this page answers. We cross-check the date and venue against official listings before marking a show as confirmed, and we update the page if anything is rescheduled or moved.

Already holding tickets? The alert is still worth having: it is how we tell people about set times, support announcements and any change to the venue or date. Still looking? It also flags fresh ticket releases, which turn up more often than most people expect, especially once production holds are freed in the final days.

The venue for The Fray Sydney 2027: Hordern Pavilion

The Fray is booked into Hordern Pavilion, one of the rooms that shape Sydney’s Concert calendar. Sydney’s venues sit in distinct precincts, and knowing which one you are heading to tells you a lot about the night ahead.

Sydney Olympic Park at Homebush Bay is the big-event precinct: Afterpay Arena and Accor Stadium share open plazas with food outlets, and Olympic Park station is a short walk away. Moore Park, between Surry Hills and Centennial Park, holds the Hordern Pavilion beside the Entertainment Quarter. The CBD has the State Theatre, a 1929 picture palace with an ornate interior, and the Metro Theatre on George Street. Darling Harbour has the TikTok Entertainment Centre, and in Eveleigh the old railway workshops of Carriageworks have become a venue in their own right, while the Inner West keeps the Enmore Theatre.

Each gives a different experience. Arenas bring large production and long sightlines; theatres put you closer, with better sound; open-air sites such as the Opera House Forecourt and The Domain trade a roof for the harbour or parkland around them. Wherever Hordern Pavilion sits on that spectrum, the Sydney venues guide has its entry times, transport and accessibility notes.

Buying tickets for The Fray Sydney 2027

Depending on where the sale stands, tickets for The Fray Sydney 2027 are in presale, on general sale or down to resale. The order in Australia is usually the same: one or more presales over a few days, then a general on-sale at a fixed time, often in the morning Sydney time.

Presales for touring acts commonly include a fan-club or artist window, a promoter list (My Live Nation or the Frontier Touring membership, for instance), and partner offers for Amex, Mastercard, Telstra Plus or Optus Perks customers. Not every show has all of them; our alert lists the ones actually announced for this date.

When you buy, go through the seller linked from the official announcement. For Sydney arena and theatre shows that is most often Ticketek or Ticketmaster. Search results for “The Fray tickets” regularly put resale marketplaces above the official seller, at prices well beyond face value. NSW limits the mark-up a resold ticket may carry, so listings that ignore that limit are a warning sign in themselves.

Already sold out? The original seller’s fan-to-fan resale platform is the safest route, and late releases do appear. Our alert covers those too, so you do not have to keep checking the event page yourself.

The Fray Sydney 2027 ticket prices and seating

Official pricing for The Fray Sydney 2027 is set by the promoter and shown on the seller’s event page. As a guide, comparable Concert shows at Sydney venues of this type have sold in these bands: entry-level seats from around A$79 to A$119; mid-level reserved seats and general admission around A$119–A$169; prime seating near the stage around A$169–A$219; and premium or VIP packages from A$219 to A$279 and beyond.

Seating plans vary by venue. In an arena the floor may be all standing or split into seated blocks, with tiered seating wrapping around the sides and back. In a theatre, the stalls are closest, then the circle and upper levels. Outdoors, most tickets are general admission, sometimes with a premium zone near the front.

Fees are added at checkout: expect a service fee on each ticket and possibly a transaction fee per order, while mobile delivery is usually free. Prices can also shift during the sale if the tour uses dynamic pricing.

If the price level you wanted has gone, do not assume you are out of luck. Different sections are released at different times, and our alert tells you when new allocations appear for Hordern Pavilion.

Getting to Hordern Pavilion for The Fray Sydney 2027

Sydney’s network is built around the CBD, so for most venues the simplest plan is to reach Central, Town Hall or Circular Quay first and change there. Opal readers accept contactless cards and phones, so you need not buy anything before travelling, and a daily fare cap limits the cost if you make several trips.

The Hordern sits inside the Entertainment Quarter on Lang Road, on the former Royal Agricultural Society showground. The nearest public transport is the Moore Park light rail stop on the L2 and L3 lines, from where it is a 5–10 minute walk through the precinct. Buses along Anzac Parade and Oxford Street stop within walking distance, and the walk from Central takes about half an hour. There is a paid car park in the Entertainment Quarter, but it fills on nights when Allianz Stadium or the SCG also has an event.

For Olympic Park shows, trains run between Lidcombe and Olympic Park station, a few minutes on foot from both the arena and the stadium; on major event nights extra services are scheduled and staff manage the platform queues. For Moore Park, light rail lines L2 and L3 stop at Moore Park on Anzac Parade. The Enmore Theatre is a walk along King Street and Enmore Road from Newtown station, and the Darling Harbour venues are reachable on foot from Town Hall or on the L1 light rail.

Leaving takes longer than arriving. Allow time after the encore for the crowd to thin, and check the last services before you head out. If you are driving, read the venue’s parking information in advance; many people find it quicker to park near a suburban station and take the train the rest of the way.

What to expect at The Fray Sydney 2027

A Sydney rock night still carries the pub-rock lineage of AC/DC and Midnight Oil: loud guitars, a packed floor and a crowd that shouts every chorus back.

The Summer of Light Tour production is what The Fray is bringing to Australia, so the Sydney show should match the other cities on the leg, adjusted to the size of Hordern Pavilion. Support acts are often Australian and named closer to the date; we include them in the alert once they are confirmed. Running orders and curfews are set by the venue, so the time the headliner walks on can differ from one Sydney night to the next.

A few practical expectations: phones are fine but professional cameras usually are not; earplugs are worth carrying for loud shows; and licensed venues in NSW have to make free drinking water available. If anything about the format is unclear on your ticket, such as seated or standing, all ages or 18+, the seller’s event page has the definitive answer.

Is everything final? Yes. The show is officially scheduled for Thursday 11 February 2027 at Hordern Pavilion, Sydney, and we have checked it against the official listing.

Sydney’s 2027 season is busy, and these confirmed events are also on our calendar: Rodrigo y Gabriela Sydney 2027 · Against the Current Sydney 2027 · Public Image Ltd Sydney 2027 · Clutch Sydney 2027 · 5 Seconds of Summer Sydney 2027 · AC/DC Sydney 2027. That history is the background to The Fray’s 2027 return to Sydney. Set the alert to get presale and on-sale times as they are confirmed.

Presale code The Fray Sydney 2027: how it works in Australia

A presale code is simply a key to an early ticket window. For The Fray in Sydney there is no single code that unlocks everything: each presale is run by a different organisation, and each decides who gets in. Some send a code by email on the morning the presale opens, some ask you to log in with a registered account, and some check the first digits of your card at checkout. Our alert brings together the presales announced for the Sydney date at Hordern Pavilion and tells you which ones apply to you.

Artist and fan-club presale

This is usually the first window. Fans signed up to the artist’s mailing list or paid fan club receive a link or code shortly before it opens. For The Fray, any fan presale for Sydney would be announced alongside the tour itself. These allocations can be small and are often limited to a few tickets per account, so being registered before the announcement is what counts. If membership costs money, weigh that against the price of a better seat before joining just for the presale.

Promoter presales: My Live Nation, Frontier Touring and others

Australian tours are presented by a small group of promoters, and most offer free membership with presale access. The best known are My Live Nation, the Frontier Touring membership and Chugg Entertainment’s list, and TEG runs presales for its own tours. The relevant list is the one belonging to whichever company presents The Fray in Sydney. These windows usually open after the artist presale and before the general sale, often with a larger allocation, which makes joining the right list worthwhile well before 2027.

Card presales: Amex and Mastercard

Card issuers buy presale access as a perk for their customers. American Express card members in Australia regularly get early windows for major tours, and Mastercard runs presales through its Priceless programme. Eligibility is checked at checkout from the card number, so you must pay with a qualifying card. If you hold one, make sure it is saved and valid in your Ticketek or Ticketmaster account before the The Fray sale for Hordern Pavilion. Card presales do not always include every price level.

Telco presales: Telstra Plus and Optus Perks

Telstra’s loyalty scheme, Telstra Plus, and the Optus Perks programme also unlock early access for selected tours and venues. These programmes generally ask you to log in with the account linked to your mobile or internet service, and some tie access to a membership tier. A telco tie-in is far from guaranteed, and the brand involved varies by tour, so check the official announcement for The Fray at Hordern Pavilion. Our alert notes when a telco presale is listed for the Sydney date.

Queues on Ticketek and Ticketmaster

Whichever presale you use, the purchase normally goes through Ticketek or Ticketmaster, and both use online waiting rooms for big releases. Join just before the opening time from one device, stay on the page and keep your code to hand; refreshing will not improve your position. If most of the Sydney allocation for The Fray goes in presale, the general sale may be small, so in 2027 the presales are where most fans will realistically get their tickets.
